lilacs...lilacs...lilacs
Oh how I
LOVE lilacs - one of my absolute favorite flowers.
They are a simple pleasure that only
lasts but a day or two in a vase but how glorious it is to fill the house with
them. I am notorious for gathering all of my vases (and I have quite a few) and
putting the lilac-filled vases in every room of the house very often multiple
vases in one room. They are a marker for me that spring is indeed here and
summer is on its way. And then there is the fragrance...nothing less than
divine. I just love walking into my home with the lilac aroma permeating
about.
