Have you tried Siggi’s yogurt? It’s an Icelandic-style yogurt, skyr, pronounced “skeer” which is high protein and low sugar with all real ingredients. I was a Greek yogurt fan for well over 10 years before discovering Siggi's and now, I am officially hooked. I love the story, I love their mission and most of all, I love their yogurt
Fast Company wrote a great article on How Siggi’s Grew From A Nostalgic Experiment To An Icelandic Yogurt Empire. It's quite a story. Siggi, named after its creator, Siggi Hilmarrson, offers wonderful seasonal varieties and one of my favorites is their Strawberry & Basil. I wouldn't have necessarily thought to put that combination together over yogurt but it's so darn good. When the seasonal is not available, I add the strawberry and basil to their plain or vanilla yogurt. The plain is only 80 calories and has 15 grams of protein and the vanilla is 100 calories and has 14 grams of protein...all good.
I kick it up a notch by adding fresh strawberries and basil and a few grinds of fresh black pepper…oh my!
Another favorite, which is an odd combination, but it so works, is the Mango & Jalapeno.
@SiggiDairy recently introduced their 4% whole-milk skyr – love the fig and lemon zest. And on a silly note, I am a fan of the package shape. BTW...their packaging is designed to be recycled meaning, you remove the outer paper sleeve from the container...so well thought out.
For the kids in your life or the kid in you, their tubes are wonderful to grab the go. They also have a great recipe page. So...I would highly suggest finding Siggi’s yogurt at your local grocery and perhaps you will become hooked too. It's definitely worth trying...I don't think you will be disappointed.
